MEET Beth
Owner & Primary Photographer
After working in New York City for six years alongside fashion, advertising and commercial photographers, I moved to Newport, Rhode Island and started Ludwig Photography in 1996.
With more than 30 years of experience photographing weddings, engagements and portraits, I can honestly say I still love what I do. I adore capturing the special moments—the big ones, the little ones, and all the unexpected moments in between.
My style is simple, relaxed and timeless. I love natural light, genuine emotion and the unique details that make every wedding and family special. My goal is to create beautiful, authentic photographs that you will cherish for generations.
When I'm not behind the camera
you'll usually find me at the beach, playing tennis at the Tennis Hall of Fame, taking a hot yoga class, or spending time with my family. I live in Newport with my husband and love when our three grown children, whom we are incredibly proud of, come home for a visit.
I feel incredibly lucky to have built a career doing what I love and to be invited into so many of life's most meaningful moments.
It truly is the best job in the world.
MEET Lisa
Ludwig Photography Associate Photographer
Lisa has been an important part of the Ludwig Photography team for more than 10 years and has been photographing weddings for 25 years. Over the years, she has become someone I trust completely and an integral part of how I photograph a wedding.
When Lisa is not behind the camera
she’s most likely relaxing at the beach, heading out for a long walk, getting in a workout at the gym, or spending quality time with her husband and two daughters.
Lisa will be behind the camera capturing your wedding day, while I personally manage the logistics, organize your shot list and curate your final gallery. Your images are professionally edited under my creative direction, ensuring they meet the Ludwig Photography standard.
You get the best of both worlds: Lisa's experience behind the camera and my creative oversight from start to finish.
